The Safe Parking Program provides community members who live in their vehicles a safe place to park overnight. Participants have access to:
- A long-term safe place to park overnight
- Bathroom & hygiene facilities
- A kitchen
- Power & electronics charging stations
- Resources to help establish long-term permanent housing

Transportation & Roadside Assistance

The NCDOT Safety Service Patrol is a free roadside assistance service for stranded motorists on major roadways. Services include changing flat tires, providing small amounts of gasoline or diesel, jump-starting batteries, clearing roadway obstructions, and emergency traffic control.
