Parks and Recreation

The Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Ranlo by maintaining public green spaces, recreational facilities, and organizing community events. The department oversees parks, the community lodge, and event facilities available for public and private use.

Facility Rentals

The Town of Ranlo offers two rental facilities for community events, gatherings, private functions, work retreats, workshops, and more. Both facilities stay frequently booked — plan ahead and request well in advance. Half-day rentals are not available at any Town facility. Access on your rental date is from 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM.

Ranlo Lodge

2000 Spencer Mountain Rd, Gastonia, NC — Capacity: up to 100 guests

• Residents: $250 | Non-residents: $400
• Refundable deposit: $100 (residents and non-residents)
• Residents may book up to 3 months in advance; non-residents up to 2 months

Community Building

15 Park Dr, Gastonia, NC — Capacity: up to 25 guests

• Residents: $65 | Non-residents: $100
• Residents may book up to 3 months in advance; non-residents up to 2 months

Community Events

The department coordinates popular community events throughout the year, including Miltown Nights, the Ranlo Health Fair, and Food Truck Fridays. Check the Community Calendar for upcoming events.
